Reset the Database

The database can be reset to its original state by selecting Reset Database from the Tools Menu (Tools > Reset Database).  If the software will not start you can reset it by holding the shift key down while starting the software.  This will open with the Reset Database dialog.

This will restore the database to the original state when the program was first installed.  This is a destructive process – it will destroy all data** added to the database since the program was installed.

If you select this option you will be asked to confirm by entering “YES” in a box and then to confirm in order to prevent accidental use.

Note – This is a destructive process you will lose all local data** entered irretrievably, but data hosted in the cloud will not be affected.  Golden Records will install a new local database and download data from the cloud server to it.
