In April 2014 Archery GB revised the Shooting Administrative Procedures to adopt World Archery round designations. So what was Gents FITA has become WA 1440 Gents. There are some other significant changes, most notably withdrawal of the Half FITA. These changes have been implemented in Golden Records so as to preserve score and club records shot before April 2014 as being FITA and to create new records after April 2014 as WA.The problem is that the way Golden Records is constructed FITA 70m and WA 70m are different rounds. Had FITA 70m been simply changed to WA 70m then Golden Records would then show all FITA 70m rounds as being WA 70m even though WA 70m was only adopted in April 2014. So WA 70m is in Golden Records a “new” round and FITA 70m is preserved to keep past score records correct. However, this does mean that WA 70m is also new for club record purposes.n nThe workaround is to enter manually any existing FITA club records as their WA equivalent and these will then become the benchmark for future WA scores. Alternatively, simply change the records in the Club Records table to the WA equivalent. The effect will be the same, but then club records shot some years ago would change to WA which some clubs and record holders may not want.n nThe way Golden Records is constructed there is no way to have FITA 70m before April 2014 and WA 70m after and for these to be the same round. In the current version of Golden Records FITA rounds are removed from the drop down lists for score and record entry by default (even though the round still exists in the program). This keeps the lists short by hiding discontinued rounds. It is possible to still enter FITA records/scores by going to Edit Data on the toolbar and selecting Rounds. You will see that FITA rounds are not ticked as being Active. Changing this to Active will cause these rounds to be available for score and record entry purposes.
